Bishop Auckland, Witton Castle

Visiting the North East

The Sage Gateshead waterside concert venue is situated right between these 2 bridges. This is another amazing contemporary construction that is visually stunning and brings the entire area into the modern age. This is the go to place to see hugely talented musicians and world class artists.

The Durham and Newcastle areas are very popular for all types of flying experience. There are a few airfields and site locations offering flying experiences, all within a 20 mile radius. Another hugely popular landmark is the Angel of the North, situated just outside of Newcastle. This huge contemporary man made sculpture is 20 metres tall and the wings measure 54 metres across! The solid steel construction overlooks the main roads into Tyneside and was finished in 1998. This again can easily be spotted when on a flying experience.

Lastly with Newcastle being a very football focused area, the St James Park football stadium is a must see.
